Hop Freakness, Cascadian Imperial Black IPA

On August 29, 2015, Oak Highlands Brewery invited KBCB to brew a small batch on their pilot system. So we commenced to beer talking about beer over beer all while drinking beer. By the end of the evening, with all the options that ended up on the table we decided WTH!! Let's go big with the small batch or go home!! Thus we proudly brewed for you...Hop Freakness

Not just our standard Hop Freakness that we have served many times over the past years. We wanted to push the maximum limits with this batch so we added more grain, more belgian candi sugar and of course, more hops. This maiden pilot batch pours a deep dark mahogony topped with a creamy tan head, foamy and frothy. Most awesome nose bursting with Citra aroma from the 18oz of dry hop addition. The Hop Freakness is a Cascadian Imperial IPA, .aka. Black DIPA, that leads off with a light body mouthfeel filling your senses with a smooth chocolaty roast flavor quickly displaying the citrusy, floral bitterness of the Cascade and Centennial hops finishing off dry and clean. Be careful though 'cuz this easy-drinking rocker is clocking in at 10.6% ABV and with nearly 5Lbs of hops per barrel the 95+ IBUs is exceptionally smooth.

Come join us at Oak Highlands Brewery's TapRoom to sip on this amazing goodness...it won't last long! #SmallBatch #CraftBrewing #Cheers

On brew day, we had several friends and fans stop by to check out what was all the goings on...Joey, owner Double M BBQ, stopped in for moral support making sure we stayed hydrated with a few of the tasty OHB brews currently lining the TapRoom wall. Thanks Joey
